Privacy Policy

The short version: JarvAI is local-first. Your “brain” (your notes, projects, and files) lives on your own device. We do not sell it, and we never use it to train any model. Nothing from inside your brain leaves your machine unless you explicitly turn on a sharing option described below, and those are off by default.
Your account
When you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password, along with your subscription plan, status, and renewal date. This is what lets the app confirm you are entitled to use it. Accounts are hosted on Supabase, in the United States.
Payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. They collect and handle your billing details under their own privacy policy. We never receive or store your card number. We receive only the resulting subscription record: a customer identifier, a subscription identifier, your plan, its status, and its renewal or end date.
The app on your machine
JarvAI runs locally. Your notes and files stay in a folder on your own device, and credentials for services you connect are encrypted by your operating system's keystore. The app talks directly to the services you connect, such as your Claude account and Google, using your own credentials. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Optional diagnostics and sharing
Both of the following are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn either back off at any time in Settings.
- Diagnostics. Anonymous usage events, performance metrics, and crash reports, so we can find and fix bugs. No content from your brain or your chats is included.
- Alpha Contributor. A separate, explicit opt-in that additionally shares your chat prompts and responses, plus a daily snapshot of the markdown notes in your brain, so we can improve the product during early access. Text is scrubbed for passwords, tokens, and your username before it is sent. Attachments and binary files are never included. This is the most we ever collect, and it only happens if you deliberately switch it on and confirm.
If you send us feedback from inside the app, we receive what you wrote in that feedback.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data.
- We never use your content to train models.
- We never email you things you did not ask for.
Who processes data for us
Supabase (accounts and subscription records), Lemon Squeezy (payments, as Merchant of Record), and Cloudflare (website hosting, and diagnostics if you enable them). Earlier waitlist email addresses, collected before JarvAI opened for purchase, are stored on Cloudflare and are deleted on request.
Retention and your rights
We keep your account and subscription records for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as needed for tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Email [email protected] and we will action it.
